5 months!!!

She has arrived!!

here she is in all her glory!!! Making her big debut at 36weeks and 5days weighing in at 5lbs 13oz and 19in long, Brielle MarieπŸ’•πŸ’•

its been quite a while since I’ve posted an update, we had just found out we were having a girl in the beginning of dec at 16 weeks and now I am pushing the 34 week mark!!! This pregnancy has definitely flown by (until now). So here’s what happened since then…I decided since I went into preterm labor with my son 10 yrs ago and didn’t really have time to prepare everything for when we came home that I wanted to have my shower a little earlier in this pregnancy so I could take my time setting up the nursery and getting everything ready so my very generous mother and mother in law threw me a beautiful princess themed shower (to match everything in the nursery) at just before 30 weeks.πŸ‘‡πŸΌ

The following day we went for a 3d/4d ultrasound to see how the little princess is looking in there…

CHEEKS FOR DAYS πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•So up until then everything was pretty uneventful until I had my 30 week appt later that week which ironically is when things started to progress a little too early with my son…the doc gave me a check and said I was 70% effaced already but not dilated any which is a step up from my son where I went in at this point and was 5cm dilated 😳 yikes!!! So since then there’s been checks at every visit and a hook up to the contraction machine but luckily up to this point nothing has changed so we’re still chugging along. Last but not least is the nursery, we are finally pretty much complete just a couple last minute things around the room to sterilize or find a home forπŸ‘‡πŸΌ

So now I’m big and uncomfortable and ready for this baby to be done cooking. I am under strict instruction to wait until after April 17th since my in laws will be in out of state until then but after that all bets are off I will be walking and anything else I can think of to get this ball (no pun intended) rolling. That’s it for now but I will start updating more often now that exciting things are bound to be happening!!!!

First beta results in….

so I promised the hubby I wouldn’t take anymore at home tests after blood draw day so our 5th and final one was 8dp5dt which was yesterday πŸ‘‡πŸΌ

this morning we went in for my first beta and the nurse just emailed the results…she said they expect to see a level of around 50 at this point 9dp5dt and mine is at 120.5!!!!πŸ‘ΆπŸΌπŸ‘ΆπŸΌπŸ‘ΆπŸΌπŸ‘ΆπŸΌπŸ‘ΆπŸΌπŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ we go back for # 2 on Friday morning to make sure it has doubled as it should. πŸ™πŸ½

A lot can happen in a month

its been a month since my last post so heres a quick update…after taking countless at home tests and all coming back faintly positive I went for my first beta on 8/9, May I add I went into it sure I was pregnant and our first round had worked. The nurse called later that day and said my levels came back at a 10.56 πŸ˜‘ she also said some people just have low hcg levels so the next beta on Monday 8/12 would really show us what’s going on, so needless to say after my 2nd beta she emails me (I like emails much better because I can’t hear her tone lol) and of course my levels went down to a 2. I was angry and honestly not prepared, I stayed positive the whole time and hadn’t even thought of how I would handle a bad outcome. So we picked ourselves back up after taking a day or so to grieve and decided to do a frozen cycle right away. These were the tests from the first cycle…barely there.

So we started meds including the dreaded progesterone shots (which btw as long as you walk around afterwards, don’t put ice anywhere near you & keep a heating pad handy are not bad at all) and were scheduled for our first frozen transfer on 8/31. We decided to transfer 2 again so we get into the room and the RE informs us that 1 didn’t make it through the thaw so they had to thaw another so we now only have 1 out of 4 frozen embryos left after transferring these 2 so I was desperate for this frozen cycle to work because who knows if that 1 we have left will make it through thaw if we have to do this again. This is us on transfer day #2….

Now we wait… My first beta is on Wednesday 9/9 (our 4 yr wedding anniversary 😍) but I decided to start taking at home tests again starting 4dp5dt and I must say I am optimistic…these results are much darker than last time and I don’t have to hold them to the light to tell they’re positiveπŸ‘‡πŸΌ

hold on in there little baby (babies?) just keep growing we want to hold you more than you’ll ever knowπŸ’‹
